VeraSafe Launches EU AI Act Authorized Representative Program

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 28, 2026 — VeraSafe has launched its EU AI Act Authorized Representative Program. The program supports non-EU organizations that qualify as “providers” under the Act and place, or plan to place, covered high-risk AI systems or general-purpose AI (GPAI) models on the EU market.

Through the program, eligible providers can designate a VeraSafe establishment in the EU as their authorized representative. VeraSafe supports the representative mandate by serving as the provider’s EU point of contact, coordinating communications with relevant EU and Member State authorities, including the EU AI Office where applicable.

VeraSafe also assists with EU AI Database registration where required and verifies that required technical documentation has been prepared and is available. In addition, VeraSafe retains required documentation and provider contact details for the applicable 10-year period and provides a website trust seal linked to a public verification page.

“For non-EU AI providers, the authorized representative requirement is a practical market-entry issue, not just a paperwork exercise,” said Matthew Joseph, Managing Director at VeraSafe. “Providers need clear documentation, reliable record retention, and an EU point of contact who can support communications with authorities when needed.”

VeraSafe also offers broader privacy and AI governance support, including assistance with EU AI Act compliance. Services include structured documentation review, gap assessments, advisory support, draft responses to regulatory inquiries based on provider-supplied information, and periodic regulatory monitoring updates.

Organizations interested in the EU AI Act Authorized Representative Program can contact VeraSafe to discuss enrollment and next steps.
