VeraSafe, a global company focused on international privacy law and information security, is pleased to announce that Jim Russell has joined our team in the company’s Washington, D.C. headquarters as our new General Counsel.
As VeraSafe’s General Counsel, Jim will head the company’s legal department and lead our legal, compliance, and enterprise risk management functions, while helping to scale and reinforce VeraSafe’s global legal capabilities.

Experienced, Business-Minded Counsel
A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, Jim began his career at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he counseled private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on an array of financing and related matters. He is a member of both the New York and D.C. bar associations and he joins us from a boutique investment firm in the D.C. area.
